Vocalis has continued to transform itself from being a technology development company to a business solutions provider to the UK Contact Centre market. This strategy has resulted in the successful implementation and delivery of our customer projects, within time scales and budget, and has provided the Group with strong UK reference sites at major and respected companies in the utilities and financial services sectors. In addition, Vocalis has been able to build a significantly stronger order pipeline than in previous years.
However, market conditions have been and remain extremely challenging. As a result of this, and combined with the relatively small size of Vocalis and its financial position, no material new orders have been secured since 31 March 2003.
As at 30 June 2003, the Group had cash balances of approximately 1.1 million and a cash burn of approximately 375,000 per month. As a consequence, the Directors are currently pursuing a number of strategic options available to the Group.
