VOCALIS AND ERICSSON WIN CONTRACT WITH TELENOR MOBILVocalis Group plc, the Cambridge UK based speech recognition telephony company, confirms the receipt of a new order from Ericsson Telecom to supply Telenor Mobil, the pre-eminent mobile communications network provider in Norway, with a SPEECHtel platform (CS1 IP). This order is for delivery early this calendar year. The Vocalis SPEECHtel platform will integrate into the current Intelligent Network (IN) structure and will provide prompt playouts and interactive voice response capabilities. "Vocalis is delighted to be working with Ericsson in Oslo to supply this major European mobile operator with a platform that will allow the flexibility and ease of introducing new voice driven services efficiently" comments Charles Halle, Chief Executive Officer at Vocalis. "Telenor Mobil was a partner on the SpeechDAT project, with which Vocalis was also involved with, to collect speech databases, including for use in mobile phone applications. However this is a new operator for Vocalis to work with in an IN application and we are sure this will be the start of a fruitful working relationship for all parties". |
