Vocalis and Doctors.net.uk bring UK doctors e-mail by phoneUK Doctors need never be out of touch with their e-mails. Doctors.net.uk, Europe's largest on-line medical community, is now offering SpeechMail, the service developed by Vocalis, the international speech technologies Group. This will enable doctors to access their existing mailbox service from a telephone or mobile at any time. Unlike any other service, Vocalis SpeechMail allows users to navigate their mailbox using simple spoken commands, such as playing messages, replying to messages, hearing the next message, and deleting messages. This will allow doctors to have continual access to their e-mails - a vital communication tool - wherever they might be. The service enables users to dial the dedicated telephone number, enter their account number and PIN, and connect to their mailbox to hear their e-mails. This improvement in communications means greater flexibility as to how and when e-mails are accessed, without having to return to the PC. The new service further enhances Doctors.net.uk's capabilities in providing clinicians with the most advanced communications tools, via the Internet, to assist them in their work.
