Vocalis joins Compaq Solutions Alliance programme

Vocalis, the international speech technology group, has joined the Compaq EMEA Solutions Alliance (CSA) programme, a move that follows on from the cooperation agreement signed between Compaq U.K. and Vocalis last year.

The CSA is a worldwide partnership programme operated by Compaq for software developers, consultants, system integrators and service providers. Membership of the programme gives access to a wide range of services, facilities and information support.

The CSA is operated via the Web, with the CSA website (http://csa.compaq.com) acting as a free portal for members to the services it provides. For example, as a CSA member, Vocalis can now promote its speech- and telephony-based solutions in conjunction with Compaq to all CSA partners, to Compaq customers, and to all Compaq's subsidiaries.

"As part of the agreement, the complete range of Vocalis products and services will be listed in the Compaq partner section of the CSA and in its worldwide product solution portfolio," said Peter Hauser, Vocalis Sales Director. "From Compaq's point of view, the company is now able to quote Vocalis solutions in its turnkey projects."

Becoming a member of the CSA also means that Vocalis now has access to an extensive series of development and implementation support facilities, available through the CSA website. These range from training webcasts, technical papers and pre-sales software support to information on seminars, the annual developer conference and support via central hotline and email.

In terms of marketing programmes, CSA members and Compaq can join forces in a variety of ways, from direct mail campaigns and having partner pavilions at key trade shows, to the use of the Compaq logo for promotional events, special offers on partner products, and the ability to post press releases on the CSA website.
