VOCALIS GROUP plc"Vocalis Group plc, the speech recognition call processing specialist, held its Annual General Meeting earlier today. Mr Roy Cotterill, the Chairman, stated: The first half of the financial year has produced encouraging results with increased revenue, and our order book continues to grow. We are pleased to announce a further SPEECHtel order worth in excess of £1m from Ericsson for Digital Telecommunications Philippines, Inc., which is the subject of a separate press release today." Mr Cotterill added that the board of Vocalis Group plc wished to announce that Jeremy Peckham, in order to pursue other interests, had by mutual agreement resigned yesterday as Chief Executive Officer of the Group. He said, "The board wishes to acknowledge the important contribution made by Mr Peckham, founder of Vocalis, to the development of the Group during its initial phase including its successful flotation on the Official List of the London Stock Exchange in June 1996. The board wishes Mr Peckham every success in the future." An announcement as to a new Chief Executive Officer, who will take the company into its next stage of growth, will be made in due course and in the meantime, Roy Cotterill, non-executive chairman, will take a more active role. |
