Vocalis and AFD Software Ltd sign Joint Marketing Agreement for Call Centre Solutions

Vocalis, the International speech technology Group, and AFD Software Ltd, a leading supplier of address list management solutions, today announce they have entered into a joint development agreement to offer Call Centre Solutions.

Under the terms of the Agreement, the two companies will share each others technology, and Vocalis will include AFD listing and address management offerings within its IQe call centre solution portfolio.

Peter Hauser, Sales Director for Vocalis, comments "We are extremely pleased to be working with AFD, they offer a wealth of experience and good market presence in address management solutions and we can provide each other with valuable additional channels to market within our portfolios. IQe linked with AFD is an exciting solution for the Call Centre Industry."

"AFD's postcode solutions for call centres easily lend themselves to be automated using Speech Recognition, providing potential benefits for both the call centre and the customer."

Mike Solomon, Marketing Director for AFD Software adds, "This is an important partnership for AFD, keeping us at the leading edge of call centre technologies."

"We have always prided ourselves in being at the cutting edge of new technology and believe unaided address capture using speech recognition to be a major step forward"

The Vocalis IQe offers significant cost and efficiency benefits to call centre operations. Using Advanced Speech Recognition (ASR) the Vocalis IQe automates routine tasks, such as postcode or account number recognition, often fundamental elements in allowing call centres to identify their customers. This enables the call centre to reduce call handling times, thus improving the level of customer service, whilst making the callers experience as natural and intuitive as possible.

The IQe technology is based on Vocalis SpeechWare, its proprietary state of the art Advanced Speech Recognition (ASR) technology, offering both software and hardware based variants, enabling call centres to easily integrate ASR facilities into their existing services.

AFD Postcode 2000 products deliver high quality addresses to every day applications including word processing, databases, accounts and contact management, taking the potential for the Vocalis IQe beyond the traditional call centre environment.

AFD Software Ltd, established in 1983, are committed to helping organisations improve address handling on computer systems and have over 30,000 users, including British Telecom, Abbey National Plc, Lloyds TSB Group, Daily Telegraph, Compuserve, Royal Mail and Royal Ordnance Plc.
