Vocalis signs with AASP; Additional ISPs offer Vocalis SpeechMail
ISP Members Gain Phone Access to Email
Vocalis, the international speech technology group, today announces a partnership agreement with the American Alliance of Service Providers (AASP), an organisation for ISPs (Internet Service Providers) to combine efforts and gain increased purchasing power for additional products and services. Vocalis also announces additional ISPs who will add Vocalis SpeechMail to their Internet services, including Destiny PC, Clear Connections, Fastex, Village Online, Alti.Net, HiPlains.Net, TexasFamily.Net, Konx.net, EON LLC, Quik Internet and Windmill.Net.
Vocalis SpeechMail enables telephone access to existing email accounts. Users send and retrieve email messages using a combination of advanced speech recognition and text-to-speech technologies to manage email without a computer or direct Internet access. By eliminating the need for an expensive wireless digital assistant or computer to access the Internet, Vocalis SpeechMail offers an inexpensive, reliable solution to keep up-to-date while away from the home or office.
"We are excited about offering voice access to email to our ISP members," said Russ Ferguson, president and CEO of AASP. "Vocalis SpeechMail provides a unique, value-added service to our subscribers - an advanced feature to keep them in the forefront to improve their offerings and make them more competitive. That's what AASP is all about."
"We look forward to working with AASP and these new ISPs to provide their customers with phone access to email," commented Mike Williams, Director of Business Development at Vocalis. "In turn, these partnerships will mean expanded growth for Vocalis across North America."
AASP members ISPs can sign-up now to offer Vocalis SpeechMail to their customer base. SpeechMail for the other ISPs will go live in October.
